A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital if you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be extremely easy if you have a Linux shared hosting package with our company. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit user-friendly Email Manager, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your shared hosting account. You will see all the mailboxes that you’ve created listed alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately show you if a certain mailbox stores all the emails pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you want. In case there’s activated email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t disable/replace anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be set up with a few clicks in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with us. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to create email addresses using any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a given mailbox, you will need to click on the sign with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating this feature can be achieved in the same fashion and will not require more than one click either. If the catch-all feature has already been activated for a particular domain name, you will receive a warning note. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or disable any feature automatically.
